Filey Museum — a true gem of our town since 1971 — has undergone a major transformation and we aim to create an award-winning museum once more!
Why be a Trustee? Because you will be making a tangible difference, not only to the museum but also to the community. You will gain valuable skills and personal fulfilment through contributing to a cause you care about.
As a Trustee, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated team and use your expertise to support the museum. You will also have the ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of the museum, including its strategic direction, financial health, and governance. This involves making decisions to ensure the museum is well-run and delivers on its purpose for the public benefit.
We are looking for up to 6 people to join the board for a 3 year term who have a knowledge of, and interest in, Filey’s fishing, farming and seaside fun heritage as well as skills and expertise in finance, IT, media & communications, building/facilities & project management and customer care, all underpinned by general enthusiasm!
Ability to use email and WhatsApp are necessary skills; we can offer training for this if required.
